CAPEX Project Manager Facility Management

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks an experienced CAPEX Project Manager for Facility Management in Allschwil, Switzerland. The role involves leading complex projects within existing pharmaceutical facilities, managing construction and refurbishment initiatives from planning through commissioning while ensuring compliance with GMP guidelines and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, cross-functional CAPEX projects from concept through completion within scope, schedule, budget, and quality parameters
• Manage construction and refurbishment initiatives in operational manufacturing facilities and existing buildings
• Oversee project delivery including planning, execution, commissioning, and handover phases
• Collaborate with cross-organizational teams and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
• Navigate ambiguity and respond quickly to problems in a high-pressure, matrix team environment

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional experience in Facilities Management, Maintenance, or Engineering with CAPEX project management
• Proven experience managing construction or refurbishment projects in existing buildings
• Minimum 2 years of building engineering experience
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, ventilation, refrigeration, cooling systems, and building infrastructure
• Knowledge of GMP guidelines for asset qualification and operation
• Fluency in English and German
• Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
