Senior Legal Counsel, R&D Legal EMEA

Senior Legal Counsel position supporting research and development clinical activities across Europe, Middle East, and Africa. The role provides strategic legal guidance on clinical trials, regulatory compliance, and cross-border research collaborations while managing clinical development agreements and risk mitigation.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic legal guidance to R&D partners on clinical trials and collaborative research activities
- Support program and portfolio reviews by identifying legal risks and recommending mitigation strategies
- Draft, review, and negotiate clinical research-related agreements and contracts
- Conduct legal risk assessments for novel research models and cross-border activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including regulatory, compliance, and therapeutic area units
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years legal experience overall
- At least 5 years supporting R&D, clinical development, or life sciences
- Strong grasp of pharmaceutical legal and regulatory frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to conduct legal risk assessments
- Experience managing clinical research agreements and contracts
- Ability to provide strategic guidance on complex clinical matters
