Procurement Specialist / Category Buyer

About the role

Our client is seeking a motivated Procurement professional to join their international procurement team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Buyer or Procurement Specialist looking to take the next step in their career within a global organization.

The successful candidate will support strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier management and procurement projects while working closely with international stakeholders across multiple business functions.

Responsibilities

• Support strategic sourcing and supplier selection processes across indirect procurement categories.

• Manage RFIs, RFQs and RFPs from preparation through supplier evaluation and award.

• Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and operational efficiencies.

• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while monitoring supplier performance.

• Support contract negotiations and procurement governance activities.

• Partner with internal stakeholders across Marketing, Operations, Finance, HR and other business functions to understand procurement needs.

• Analyse spend data and identify sourcing opportunities.

• Contribute to procurement process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies and corporate standards.

Requirements

• Around 3 to 5 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing or Category Buying.

• Experience managing sourcing activities within an international environment.

• Exposure to supplier negotiations and contract management.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Good analytical skills with the ability to work with procurement data and KPIs.

• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Ariba or Coupa is an advantage.

• Fluent English is required.
