IT Senior System Specialist

Job PurposeWe are looking for an IT Senior System Specialist to maintain and improve our Guest processes, Onboard platforms and their integrated systems. 

He/She will take care of our Onboard platform in Data Configuration, Operational Reporting, Analysis, Troubleshooting and Support for onboard business such as: Onboard Finance, Shorex, Guest, Crew, Safety, Security, Housekeeping, F&B, SPA, etc. 

The Senior System Specialist oversees and maintains production and testing systems; schedules legacy systems operations; monitors output and report distribution, performs a variety of tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility collaborating with Corporate, Managers and other IT Specialists.

Key AccountabilitiesAnalysis and elicitation of functional and non-functional requirements for Onboard platforms and their integrated systems. ; Gives support in planning, managing and delivering Onboard platforms and their integrated systems; ; Gives support in defining solutions aligned to business requirements; ; Ensure and overseeing all systems setting activities related to new buildings operations; ; Supports business for the updating, testing and measurement of the products evolution added to the systems; ; Set ups and update the PMS onboard through a steady maintenance interdepartmentally (Guest and Crew Service, Excursion, Spa, Finance, Retail, F&B, Dining, Safety and Security); ; Provides assistance and advice to the on-board departments involved in PMS settings;;

QualificationsExperience in Cruise Industry (focus on Hotel Operations); ; At least 3 years’ hands-on experience in similar roles or equivalent experiences with IT Applications for Cruise Lines; ; Working knowledges of onboard PMS Systems and Ship Warehouse process (Otalio SPMS, Oracle SPMS, Oracle MMS, Crunchtime or similar); ; Oracle, SQL/MySQL database Language skills; ; Knowledge of programming languages for operational reporting (e.g., JasperReports) ; Knowledge of programming languages (Python, JavaScript or similar) is a plus; ; Knowledge of Automation and Reporting Tools (PowerAutomate, PowerBi, PowerApp) is a plus; ; Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a timely manner; ; Good inter-personal and communication skills; ; Good organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; ; Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work in a dynamic environment; ; Availability to travel and outside region residencies; ; Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent); ; Fluent English and Italian. (spoken and written) ;

WHAT WE OFFERIn compliance with the applicable pay transparency legislation, the following information is provided regarding the initial compensation foreseen for the position.Contract 

• Type of contract: Permanent

• Hybrid working model: 2 days per week remotely

• Applicable Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL): “Addetti agli uffici ed ai terminals delle società di navigazione che esercitano l’armamento privato” – sez. personale di terra

• Gross annual salary (RAL): between €32.000 – €39.000 gross per year, paid over 14 monthly installments

• Meal vouchers: worth €8 per on-site working day
