Job Purpose

• The Head of HR&Payroll Department articulates and supports TMF Switzerland’s strategy by building local HR&Payroll-related partnerships, business networks, and business relationships  by acquiring  new client opportunities in collaboration with the Country Head Switzerland, TMF Global sales, and/or TMF local sales team (as applicable). Success will be measured by a tangible increase in revenue and growth and/or a recurring tangible pipeline of feeders and a tangible increase of TMF’s payroll service reputation.
• The person will mentor lead, and nurture an inspired Swiss team of HR&Payroll/HR&Admin leaders and experts, ensuring flawless service delivery. Success will include measurable team engagement, increased reliable business mindset, lower attrition and high quality profiles recruitment.
• The Head of the Department provides input into the local practice strategy and supports its execution in Switzerland. Success will be reflected in increased engagement and client satisfaction and retention.
• The person will collaborate with the respective country teams to ensure high-quality local deliveries.

As Head of Department HRP 

Your mission is to ensure sustainable growth of the HR&Payroll department, seamless and efficient client payroll delivery, compliance with applicable local regulations, and optimization of payroll processes across the organization where deemed necessary. 

As the Head of Department you will be participating in country management meetings, contributing to the localization of global practice, go-to-market strategies and supporting business development activities (as required). You will support with escalations or client service delivery issues in the country and collaborate with other Head of Departments to enhance a cross-functional approach to service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy 

• Lead the HR&Payroll Department to achieve high profitability and efficiency in daily deliverables. 
• Ensure alignment between local strategy, goals & policies, and Group strategy. 
• Understand and resolve complex technical, strategic, and business issues. 

Service Offering 

• In-depth understanding of the global practice and local strategy, considering the market specific variances (including regulations) and adapting when required. 
• Identify new services and products from a local specific perspective, but also for other markets in contributing to overall TMF performance. 
• Strong understanding of client needs and opportunities for cross/up-selling to enable growth. Providing local and global sales teams with technical support for closing HR&Payroll deals. 
• Participate at external events in the respective country, including being a subject matter expert speaker and providing input to marketing teams for content writing and other related activities to promote TMF offerings and capabilities. 

Delivery 

• Organize and plan local deliveries to ensure efficiency, productivity, and optimum resource utilization.
• Guide, nurture and develop team leaders and their teams to ensure that specific deliveries are completed on time and budget, ensuring client satisfaction and strong relationships. 
• People development including development of technical knowledge and skills specific to the department), and people management including talent management, performance, and development reviews, etc. for direct reports. 
• Support direct reports with resource management and recruitment to ensure service delivery team stability and strategic & sustainable growth, in line with the TMF Group strategies and guidelines (TOM, Delivery Model, etc.)

Pricing & Scope 

• Support in maintaining the price book and scope of services according to global guidelines (Universal Service Catalogue), providing local market knowledge and input. 
• Support in maintaining LSA/MSA templates ensuring alignment with price book and ensure compliance with Group regulations. 

Other Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver relevant KPIs for financial performance, customer relations, sales and growth, productivity, efficiency, and other parameters relevant for and adapted to the country. All KPIs are agreed and aligned with the Country Head of Switzerland and other stakeholders. 
• Actively participate in the yearly budget preparation and monitor performance against budget over the course of the year, supporting early detections of deviations and solutions.

• May manage projects, ensuring they are within budget.

• Will consider internal and external economics for both TMF and customer when undertaking day to day activities. 
• Able to weigh up and prioritize the benefits of different actions and activities and how to achieve cost effective outcomes. Expected to design and may constructively challenge control, risk, and governance frameworks for immediate business area.

• Will lead by example, communicating in a truthful, straightforward, and positive manner with integrity in line with the TMF culture. 
• Able to a) develop a resource structure to deliver on local strategies and, b) build a highly performing, collaborative team by identifying, developing, deploying, and retaining top talent.

• Supports the upskilling of team through a) sharing of knowledge, best practice, and coaching and, b) Ensuring that appropriate development plans are in place for colleagues across the wider team.
