Role level: Internship

Within the QC Microbiology department, ensuring reliable, efficient, and compliant microbiological testing is essential to support product quality and patient safety. The industry is rapidly evolving toward automation , digitalization , and rapid microbiological methods (RMM) . This internship will contribute to our strategic roadmap to modernize and optimize microbiological controls.

Your role :

The intern will participate in the benchmarking, evaluation, and preliminary qualification of alternative rapid and automated microbiology technologies. Activities include:

• Mapping available RMM and automated solutions.
• Comparing technologies based on performance, regulatory acceptance, cost, and operational fit.
• Conducting traditional testing as compendial reference method.
• Designing and executing laboratory evaluations by tests in accordance to study protocol (feasibility, robustness, usability).
• Supporting data analysis, risk assessment, and decision matrices (SWOTs, scoring grids, ROIs).
• Contributing to recommendations for implementation within QC Microbiology.
• Preparing technical reports and presenting findings to QC, manufacturing leadership and QA stakeholders.
• Contributing to the transformation roadmap.

Your profile :

• Currently undertaking studies in a relevant field
• Methodical, curious and team spirit
• Fluent in English, French is a plus
