Das Paul Scherrer Institut PSI ist das grösste Forschungsinstitut für Natur- und Ingenieurwissenschaften in der Schweiz. Wir betreiben Spitzenforschung in den Bereichen Zukunftstechnologien, Energie und Klima, Gesundheitsinnovation und Grundlagen der Natur. Durch Grundlagen- und angewandte Forschung arbeiten wir an nachhaltigen Lösungen für die grossen Herausforderungen der Gesellschaft, Wissenschaft und Wirtschaft. Das PSI engagiert sich für die Ausbildung zukünftiger Generationen. Deshalb sind etwa ein Viertel unserer Mitarbeitenden Postdocs, Doktoranden oder Auszubildende. Insgesamt beschäftigt das PSI 2300 Personen.
Für die Gruppe Batterie-Materialien und Diagnostik suchen wir eine
Ihre Aufgaben
- Leitung innovativer Forschungsprojekte mit Fokus auf Batteriematerialien und Schnittstellen der nächsten Generation
- Entwicklung und Implementierung fortschrittlicher physikalischer, elektrochemischer und operando Charakterisierungsmethoden für Batteriematerialien und -geräte
- Aufbau und Leitung nationaler und internationaler Forschungskooperationen mit akademischen Institutionen, Forschungsorganisationen und Industriepartnern
- Veröffentlichung wissenschaftlicher Ergebnisse in führenden peer-reviewed Fachzeitschriften und Präsentation der Forschung auf internationalen Konferenzen
- Beitrag zur strategischen Entwicklung der Gruppe, inklusive neuer Forschungsinitiativen, Laborinfrastruktur und experimenteller Kapazitäten
- Betreuung und Anleitung von Doktoranden, Postdoktoranden und Nachwuchswissenschaftlern zur Förderung ihrer wissenschaftlichen und beruflichen Entwicklung
Ihr Profil
- Promotion in Materialwissenschaften, Chemie, Physik, Elektrochemie oder einem eng verwandten Fachgebiet
- Fundierter Forschungshintergrund in Elektrochemie, Batteriematerialien, Festkörperbatterien oder verwandten Bereichen
- Nachgewiesene wissenschaftliche Exzellenz durch eine starke Publikationsliste
- Erfahrung mit fortschrittlichen Materialcharakterisierungstechniken; nachweisliche Erfolge bei der Einwerbung von Wettbewerbsforschungsmitteln oder klares Potenzial zur Sicherung externer Finanzierung
- Erfahrung mit grossen Forschungseinrichtungen wie Synchrotron- oder Neutronenquellen ist von Vorteil
- Starke Kommunikationsfähigkeiten, kooperative Einstellung und echtes Interesse an der Betreuung von Nachwuchsforschern
- Sehr gute Englischkenntnisse
