Position Summary

The R&D Data Quality Analyst at Kenvue will play a crucial role in managing enhancing and curating the rich institutional knowledge of the R&D organization. They will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy completeness and reliability of data across product development lifecycle including raw materials formulation packaging labeling and study data. The data steward works closely with our scientists and domain experts to:

Define and document data standards that keep us ahead of our competitors.
Automate data quality monitoring and use metadata to improve the usability and value of data in a dynamic environment.
Create predictable change management of data data models ontologies and related artifacts to accelerate timetoinsight.

To maximize the value of our institutional knowledge the data analyst will drive communication integration and automation of data flows across the organization. They also educate and enable our business partners to answer their own questions with data. These answers support critical outcomes like sustainable innovation product resiliency and our healthy lives mission.

The data analyst will be responsible for up to 34 specific functional data domains acting as a liaison between the R&D functions and R&D Technology.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Managerlevel/Principallevel

30% / 20% Create standard ontologies to align business terminology data definitions and quality metrics
20% / 15% Creation communicate and own key data quality metrics relevant to all stages of R&D product development lifecycle
20% / 10% Establish promote and implement data governance and policies
10% / 25% Act as a liaison between IT and business partners for datarelated needs queries and issues (for internally generated data)
10% / 30% Create data analytics visuals and reports with insights and actions to improve data quality

Other Duties

Create and update data catalogs to provide a comprehensive view of the data inventory
Evaluate new data sources manage current inventory of data ensure data quality and implement processes and tools to ensure appropriate generation and usage of data
Represent R&D in the crossfunctional End to End data streams working to drive efficient processes for the creation collection maintenance and downstream use of data across Kenvue
Collaborate with colleagues on data validation and data coordination activities
Understand requirements and ensure compliance with data asset licensing agreements
Lead pilot projects to assess value of new data tools and processes
Quantify organizational impact of data
Oversee and ensure consistency across data stewardship team and wider organization to reinforce accountability model

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Library and Information Sciences Computer Science Chemistry Biology or a related field.
Knowledge of how to create data definitions and standards determine business data requirements and business rules
Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly to both business and technical audiences
Excellent understanding of data governance principles and concepts.
Proficiency in SQL Python or other languages for querying data.
Proficiency in data visualization
Alertness and sensitivity for data inconsistencies

Preferred Qualifications

Proven experience as a Data Quality Analyst or similar role in a consumer package goods or consumer health R&D environment.
Experience creating Entity Relationship Diagrams and other technical data architecture documentation
Experience with the consumer health product development process
Experience with change management in a global organization
