The Head of Content and Editorial will shape the content strategy and editorial standards of a growing, product-focused technology business. This leadership role combines exceptional writing and editing skills with strategic thinking, team development, and a strong focus on measurable performance. You will lead a small team of talented writers, ensuring every piece of content is clear, engaging, accurate, and valuable to its intended audience. AI-assisted content creation will be central to your approach, helping you improve efficiency without compromising quality or editorial integrity. Working closely with executive leadership, marketing, and product teams, you will align content initiatives with customer needs and business objectives. Accountabilities: You will own the editorial vision, content quality, and performance of content initiatives, combining strategic direction with hands-on editing and continuous experimentation. Your main responsibilities will include: - Content Strategy and Editorial Direction: Define what content should be created, who it should serve, and how it supports business objectives, customer needs, and product positioning. - Editorial Quality and Standards: Establish and maintain high editorial standards, reviewing and refining content to ensure clarity, accuracy, consistency, engagement, and practical value for readers.

- Hands-On Editing and Copywriting: Improve drafts through thoughtful editing, restructuring, and rewriting, identifying opportunities to strengthen messaging, storytelling, readability, and overall impact. - AI-Assisted Content Creation: Develop and optimize AI-supported content workflows that improve productivity while ensuring outputs meet rigorous editorial standards and provide genuine value to readers. - Writer Management and Development: Lead a small team of skilled writers, providing editorial guidance, constructive feedback, and clear expectations to strengthen individual capabilities and overall content quality. - Content Performance and Analytics: Monitor content results, interpret performance metrics, identify successful approaches, and use data to guide editorial decisions and improve outcomes. - Experimentation and Continuous Improvement: Test new content formats, topics, messaging, and production methods, learn from unsuccessful experiments, and scale approaches that demonstrate positive results. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, product teams, and executive leadership to understand the products, audience, and business priorities, ensuring content remains relevant and aligned with organizational goals. - Editorial Ownership and Decision-Making: Work independently, identify opportunities proactively, make informed decisions, and take responsibility for both content quality and performance. - Content Excellence: Build a culture focused on exceptional writing, strong editorial judgment, continuous learning, and meaningful business impact rather than simply maximizing content volume.
