Senior Software Engineer (Radio Systems)

ph3Overview /h3 pAs a Senior Software Engineer in the Radio Systems team you will architect the Linux-based software framework that powers our next-generation communications and RF sensing technologies. You will bridge the gap between raw RF hardware and high-level autonomous systems, developing the high-performance user-space applications and kernel modules that bring reliable RF comms and insights to unmanned systems. Your expertise in Modern C++ and Linux internals will be the backbone of a scalable RF technology framework. You will collaborate with developers across Auterion's full technology stack to deliver tactical solutions to the air, ground, and sea, working closely with global OEMs and government agencies to ensure operational excellence in evolving environments. /p h3Responsibilities and Duties /h3 ul liOwn a complex, multi-domain RF software ecosystem running on Linux /li liLead the design and development of high-performance user-space applications using Modern C++ /li liDevelop and maintain Linux kernel modules and hardware abstraction layers to interface with RF baseband configurations /li liDrive software quality through CI/CD integration and TDD /li liContribute to automated hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and maintain the test framework /li liCollaborate with RF experts to create clean APIs for full-stack consumption of data /li liSupport OEM integrations and end customers directly, sometimes on-site /li liWork with engineers to direct development of test infrastructure / QA processes /li /ul h3Qualifications and Skills /h3 ul li3+ years of experience in relevant software and engineering roles /li liB.Sc. / M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering / Science or related fields /li liStrong proficiency in Modern C++ (17/20) and systems programming /li liExperience developing Linux kernel modules or character drivers (DMA, USB, PCIe, etc.) /li liDeep understanding of Linux user-space development, including multi-threading and IPC /li liProven track record of implementing CI/CD pipelines and unit testing frameworks (e.g., GTest) /li liExperience with high-throughput data processing or software-defined radios (SDR) is a plus /li liStrong written and verbal communication skills to keep a global team fully informed /li liWillingness for infrequent travel /li liBonus: you love radio technologies, tinker with radios and want to learn more about RF engineering /li liCH/EU citizenship required /li /ul h3Benefits /h3 ul liFlexible working hours hybrid workplace /li liStock Options /li liGenerous holiday allowance /li liRetirement plan /li liCompany car for private use (Switzerland only) /li liEnhanced maternity paternity leave /li liMental health and wellbeing support /li liLearning and development opportunities /li liFlyday Friday - Fly a drone (1/x month) /li liRegular team social /li liSnacks Drinks /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
