Engineering Data Support (m/w/d)

We are currently supporting our top client, a global leader in plasma-derived therapies, in their search for an Engineering Data Support Specialist (m/w/d ) based in Bern.

In this role, you will support the Manufacturing Science & Technology (MS&T) and Validation teams by contributing to data management, analysis, process improvement, documentation, and compliance activities. Your work will play a key role in ensuring efficient operations, maintaining data integrity, and supporting compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.

You will collaborate closely with engineering, validation, and production teams to drive operational excellence and support critical business processes.

Your Responsibilities

• Safety & Compliance
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in mandatory safety training and use all required safety equipment correctly.
  • Consistently wear personal protective equipment (PPE) where required and ensure defective equipment is replaced promptly.
  • Proactively identify and eliminate hazards where possible, or escalate risks immediately to your supervisor.
  • Actively contribute to a strong safety culture and support continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace safety.
• Data Management & Analysis
  • Support the setup, maintenance, and validation of STATISTICA workspaces for the automated analysis of data from systems such as LIMS and MES.
  • Verify data integrity and ensure the accuracy and reliability of data analyses and reporting.
  • Assist with data extraction, processing, analysis, and reporting activities to support MS&T and Validation projects.
• Documentation & Archiving
  • Coordinate and support document archiving activities, including the preparation, organization, and transfer of records to the Scan Competence Center.
  • Update and maintain SOPs, work instructions, forms, and other controlled documentation within the MS&T and Validation departments.
  • Ensure documentation remains accurate, compliant, and aligned with quality standards.
• Project Support
  • Provide operational support for validation and MS&T initiatives.
  • Assist with sample handling and related project activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Your Profile

• Degree in a scientific discipline such as Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD). Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
• 2-5 years of experience in engineering data management, maintenance systems, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
• Strong experience working with LIMS and MES systems
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Good understanding of GMP/cGMP requirements and quality systems within regulated industries.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across different functions.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
