Financial Accountant | Leading Manufacturing Business | Opfikon/Zurich | Switzerland

Our client seeks a dedicated and engaged financial accountant to join their finance team, based in a large corporate accounting hub in Opfikon/Zurich. This business has a pan-European footprint, and you will be responsible for delivering statutory accounting activities and reporting (IFRS) for multiple entities across the group.

Financial Accountant Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare annual financial statements, oversee general ledger accounting and manage fixed asset accounting
• Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under IFRS and local GAAP requirements
• Handle group reporting within the consolidation and liquidity planning systems
• Prepare and reconcile VAT returns, including input tax corrections and reductions
• Perform and document ICS controls; prepare for and assist during external audit cycles

Requirements:

• Ideally, you will have 5+ years of solid experience within an international company’s accounting or finance function.
• Ideally, you will have a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, and professional certifications would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP accounting standards is required and essential.
• German language skills are essential, but other European languages would also be advantageous.
