Working Student - Client Portfolio Manager Team (60%-100%)

Do you want to join Vontobel's Fixed Income Boutique, a fast-growing business managing over USD 30 billion in assets, and gain hands-on experience at the intersection of investments, client engagement, and business development.

Working closely with Client Portfolio Managers, you will analyze investment and client data, support reporting and marketing initiatives, contribute to process automation, and help deliver high-quality client communications while collaborating with global stakeholders across the business.

What would your role be?

• Support strategic Fixed Income client portfolio management activities through reporting, data analysis and the preparation of client-facing materials.
• Contribute to the enhancement and automation of reporting and presentation processes, helping to improve efficiency and the quality of deliverables used across the business.
• Gain hands-on experience in transforming and analyzing investment, fund and client data, translating complex information into clear and meaningful insights.
• Take ownership of the coordination and execution of recurring team initiatives, including the monthly Harvest Product call and related stakeholder engagement.
• Collaborate with global teams to enhance presentation content and reporting materials, supporting the continuous evolution of marketing and client communication tools.
• Assist with client servicing and business development activities, including responding to information requests, preparing fund-related materials and supporting RFP submissions.
• Work closely with Client Portfolio Managers on day-to-day initiatives, including Salesforce-based client engagement analysis and preparation for management and client discussions.

What are we looking for?

• Student (university or FH) in economics or finance-related discipline
• Experience in working in a data management and/or controlling role and interest in the asset management sector
• Entrepreneurial mind with problem solving skills and a willingness to challenge the status quo
• Structured personality with the ability to work on multiple tasks and to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
• Proficient in MS Office, with strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint; Bloomberg and programming/scripting languages (VBA or Matlab) are a plus
• Equipped with graphic skills to improve product presentations
• Familiar with AI tools and techniques to improve efficiency (messaging, content etc.)
• Fluent in English and German; Italian, Spanish and/or French is a plus
