Then come work with us and be part of MSC’s family. /ph3THE ROLE /h3pThe main responsibility of this role is the negotiation and follow upof contracts with ports and terminals in their area of responsibility and allrelevant subject matters (pilotage, mooring, towage, port authorities etc).This also includes following up negotiations and looking at special issueswith individual ports. /ph3YOUR IMPACT /h3pAs a Port Operations Area Manager you will: /pulliPrepare business analysis on port costs,liaise with Liner department to analyse potential lines changes. /liliEstimate costs and provide port / operationaland financial analysis. /liliPrepare data and documents for the contractnegotiations. /liliMain point of contactwith the Regional Operations Manager of their area to ensure that theoperations run smoothly, stay informed of any developments and quick problemsolving. /liliFollow-upof the providers’ performance as per contracts/TSA/SLA : You will prepareanalysis and operational reports, transhipment reports and port productivityreports. /liliAct as the main point of contact betweenterminals/ports and other departments. All departments should report to youregarding any potential issues that may concern port operations. /liliDeal with thehigh-level issues regarding port operations and communicate with the managementof the terminals. /liliMonitor the terminal capacity andproductivity in order to ensure the optimal operations, to minimizecosts, port stay, and increaseefficiency. Intervene with any day-to-day operative issues that may affectcosts. /liliTSA Terminal Service Agreements: you willreview contracts, represent the interface with terminals. /liliMain point of contactwith terminal management in case of non-compliance. /li /ulh3YOUR BACKGROUND /h3ulliType of requiredknowledge (depth, breadth): Extensive shipping acumen /liliType and length ofexperience required for the position: Significant experience in the shipping industry /liliType of skills andcompetencies required: /liliAbility to work under pressure /liliAble to establish prioritiesand take decisions in a timely manner /liliStrong communication, negotiationand organizational skills /liliProblem solving /liliResponsible and wellorganized. /liliAttend Management meetingsupon request /liliWillingness to travel attimes /liliAbility to build a relationship with the keyindividuals in ports to be able to influence particular decisions with regardsto contracts negotiation costs. /liliQuick resolution of issues with terminalManagement . /liliBe proactive inpreventing extra costs to the line and any operational hiccups. /li /ulh3CONTRACT DETAILS /h3ulliBased in Geneva. /liliFull Time. /liliPermanent Role. /liliEU citizenship or valid Swiss work permit is required. /li /ulpMSC provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
