Proposal Manager – Technology and Consulting 

Location: Schlieren or Bern, Switzerland 
Working pattern: 80% FTE with possible flexibility. The role does not require regular travel, although occasional attendance at workshops may be required.
Start Date: ASAP, latest 1 October 2026
Duration: Minimum 6 months, with a view to extend

We are looking for an experienced Proposal Manager to join a leading international technology and consulting organisation on an initial 6-month engagement, with potential for a longer-term opportunity.

This is a senior-level role suited to someone with a strong track record in proposal management, deal management and procurement, ideally within a complex B2B, technology, consulting or professional services environment.

The Role

You will take ownership of the proposal and deal management process, working closely with commercial, sales, delivery, procurement and other internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality, commercially sound and competitive proposals are delivered on time.

The role will involve managing multiple stakeholders and deadlines, coordinating proposal activities, supporting commercial decision-making and ensuring that procurement and governance requirements are appropriately addressed.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate end-to-end proposal and bid processes
Manage complex proposals, tenders and commercial opportunities from initiation through to submission
Coordinate input from sales, delivery, commercial, legal, finance and subject-matter experts
Manage timelines, dependencies, risks and deliverables across multiple proposals
Support deal management and commercial negotiations
Work closely with procurement teams and manage procurement-related requirements
Ensure proposals are commercially robust, accurate, compliant and compelling
Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions where required
Provide structure, governance and clear communication throughout the proposal lifecycle
Continuously improve proposal and deal management processes and ways of working

Requirements: 

Senior/experienced Proposal Manager with substantial experience in a similar role
Strong background in proposal management and deal management
Solid experience working with procurement processes and requirements
Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder proposals or tenders
Excellent organisational and project management skills
Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
Confident working with senior stakeholders across multiple functions
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Fluent German is mandatory
Experience working across the DACH market is highly desirable
Technology, consulting, professional services or another complex B2B environment would be advantageous
