Lacus Partners AG is currently in the formal authorisation process with FINMA to operate as a portfolio manager (Vermögensverwalter) under Art. 17 of the Swiss Financial Institutions Act (FinIA); no activity requiring authorisation will be commenced before authorisation is obtained. This is a senior, MD-level position: the successful candidate will act as the firm's primary qualified manager and daily owner of investment management for the purposes of the FinIA Art. 17 authorisation. The candidate's CV, track record, references and professional qualifications will form part of the firm's FINMA authorisation evidence, and the role carries direct responsibility for investment decision-making conducted from Switzerland. /ppIn the firm's operating model, discretionary management is performed exclusively on the underlying portfolios of actively managed certificates (AMCs) under a limited investment-management mandate from the issuer — without custody, cash-withdrawal or unrestricted transfer authority. Client-level relationships are served through non-discretionary investment advice. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market and security analysis, asset allocation and security selection within approved strategy and risk limits, rebalancing, and executing trades with approved execution agents in line with the firm's investment guidelines and best-execution standards. The Portfolio Manager prepares portfolio reviews and reports, oversees shadow valuation and NAV reconciliation against the appointed calculation agent, supports clear client communication on performance and strategy, and collaborates closely with colleagues across research and advisory functions to continuously improve investment processes and risk management practices. /ph3Qualifications /h3ulliSeveral years of demonstrable, hands-on discretionary portfolio management experience (7+ years expected for this MD-level role), including asset allocation and ongoing portfolio monitoring — sufficient to satisfy FINMA's professional-qualification requirements for persons entrusted with asset management (FinIA Art. 11 fit proper; FinIO). /liliRelevant academic background (degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related field); professional certifications such as CFA, CIIA or CWMA — or the Swiss federal diploma in financial analysis and portfolio management — are a significant asset and strengthen the FINMA qualification evidence. /liliStrong analytical skills to evaluate markets, securities and portfolio performance; solid knowledge of asset classes, risk/return dynamics and valuation concepts. /liliUnderstanding of trading practices and execution, with attention to market impact and best execution; experience with structured products / AMCs and emerging-market strategies is a strong advantage. /liliFamiliarity with Swiss financial regulation and compliance requirements; experience in a regulated environment. /liliImpeccable professional record and integrity compatible with FINMA fit-and-proper requirements; no current employment at an execution broker, custodian or issuer that would create a conflict of interest. /liliProficiency with portfolio management and analytics tools (Bloomberg an asset); clear and professional communication skills and strong attention to detail. /liliAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a boutique, client-focused setting; full-time on-site presence in Switzerland; fluency in English, with German or Turkish relevant to the Swiss financial market highly beneficial. /li /ulh3What we offer /h3pa genuine MD-level seat at a founder-stage firm — your name is on the licence; /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
