ProServe Cloud Architect, AWS Professional Services, RCG and Pan-Amazon Strategy and Growth

Architect cloud solutions in French and English from Zurich for Europe's most ambitious enterprise customers — spanning migrations, modernization, AI, and intelligent commerce. This PCA role offers the rare opportunity to also collaborate across Amazon business units, connecting AWS with Amazon's expertise in Commerce, Supply Chain, AdTech, and Customer Experience.

The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking an experienced ProServe Cloud Architect (PCA) to join our team. In this role, you'll work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements and business objectives, designing and implementing tailored cloud solutions. You'll be a key player in the pre-sales process, providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the customer's cloud journey.

You'll be responsible for creating and leading solution designs that address customer business outcomes (CBOs). Operating as the conduit between ProServe Account Executives and Shared Delivery Teams (SDT), you'll ensure proposed solutions are realistic, achievable, and optimize ProServe and/or our partners to maximize CBOs. As a trusted advisor, you provide guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions to address customer challenges. As a technical SME, you share knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, creation of reusable artifacts, and process improvements.

Your experience designing technical solutions within the technology/consulting sector will equip you to architect complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to each customer, translating technical concepts into business value. Your success will be linked to impacting the signing of SOWs and the successful implementation of solutions which achieve CBOs while exceeding customer satisfaction (CSAT) expectations.

Beyond core PCA responsibilities, you will bring expertise in AI/Agentic AI architectures and Retail/Consumer Goods (RCG) solutions. You will also contribute to a growing Pan-Amazon motion, collaborating with domain experts across Supply Chain, Advertising, Connect, and Customer Experience when pursuits require cross-Amazon expertise. French fluency (written and spoken) is essential for engaging customers.

Key job responsibilities
Create and lead solution designs addressing customer business outcomes across migrations, modernization, AI/ML, and cloud-native architectures. Operate as the conduit between ProServe Account Executives and Shared Delivery Teams, ensuring proposed solutions are realistic and optimized. Provide technical expertise throughout the pre-sales process and customer cloud journey, architecting complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to each customer's needs. Bring particular depth in AI, Agentic AI, and RCG/Commerce verticals. Engage French-speaking customers and stakeholders, delivering technical guidance and presentations in French. Collaborate across Amazon organizations when pursuits span multiple business units including Commerce, Supply Chain, AdTech, and Customer Experience. Drive SOW signings and successful implementations that exceed CSAT expectations. Share knowledge through mentoring, training, and creation of reusable artifacts. Serve as a trusted advisor on emerging technologies including Generative AI, Agentic AI, and intelligent commerce solutions. Support diverse teams in making production-proven solutions discoverable and deployable across ProServe teams globally.

A day in the life
You might start by leading a migration architecture review for an enterprise customer, then shift to designing an Agentic AI solution for a retail client. Later you could be preparing a technical deep-dive for a C-suite audience, collaborating with delivery consultants on an active engagement, or shaping a cross-Amazon pursuit with domain experts. You operate across technologies and languages, bringing the right AWS and Amazon capabilities to each customer's unique challenges.

This team is small, high trust, and operates with startup intensity inside Amazon's scale. We support the top RCG customers globally — unique market makers in their space. You will be partnered with domain experts who have built production-proven solutions connecting Amazon business units to enterprise customers. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across multiple business units, geographies, or matrixed organizations.
- Demonstrated experience in Cloud or AI/ML solution design including Generative AI and Agentic AI architectures, and experience in the Retail, Consumer Goods (RCG), or Commerce industry vertical.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Degree in advanced technology, or AWS Professional level certification
- Expertise in Agentic Commerce solutions including autonomous AI agents for customer experience and intelligent retail operations; experience with AdTech/MarTech solutions and data-driven commerce.
- Experience working across Amazon business units (e.g., AWS, Amazon Ads, Amazon Retail, Supply Chain, Connect).
