Software Engineering & Infrastructure - Internship

Résumé de la position Vous travaillerez au sein de l'équipe de la Vice-Présidence pour l'Innovation (VPI) à l'EPFL, qui se consacre, entre autres, à la création de start-ups. Notre mission est de fournir une suite complète de services et de ressources pour équiper les étudiants en Master de l'EPFL, les doctorants, les postdocs et les professeurs aspirant à lancer les entreprises de demain. Vous serez au cœur de l'écosystème entrepreneurial de l'EPFL, avec une équipe agile souhaitant innover dans le domaine. Nos outils internes reposent sur une infrastructure conteneurisée (Docker) hébergée sur une VM interne : une base de données Supabase (PostgreSQL) et une application front-end Next.js. Votre rôle consistera à consolider et fiabiliser cette infrastructure, à renforcer sa sécurité et la cohérence de ses données, et à y intégrer de nouvelles fonctionnalités basées sur l'intelligence artificielle. Principales tâches
- Système de backup : concevoir et mettre en place une stratégie de sauvegarde automatisée (base de données, volumes Docker, configurations), avec procédures de restauration documentées et testées.
- Environnement de test : mettre en place un environnement de staging répliquant la production, permettant de valider les évolutions avant déploiement.
- Sécurité : conduire un audit de sécurité de l'infrastructure (VM, conteneurs, gestion des accès, API, politiques Row Level Security) et implémenter les améliorations identifiées.
- Intégrité des données : renforcer le schéma de la base de données (contraintes de tables, intégrité référentielle, validations) pour garantir la cohérence des données.
- Fonctionnalités IA : implémenter de nouvelles fonctionnalités d'intelligence artificielle au sein de l'application, en s'appuyant sur les infrastructures internes de l'EPFL (cluster RCP) et des modèles open source.
- Documentation : documenter l'infrastructure, les procédures d'exploitation et les choix techniques pour assurer la pérennité des outils.
- Docker et administration d'environnements Linux ;
- PostgreSQL (idéalement Supabase) : modélisation, contraintes, migrations ;
- Développement web moderne : Next.js / TypeScript ;
- Bonnes pratiques de sécurité applicative et infrastructure ;
- Pratique intensive du développement assisté par IA : les agents de code (Claude Code ou équivalent) font partie intégrante de votre workflow quotidien, et vous savez en tirer un levier de productivité majeur ;
- Familiarité avec le déploiement et l'utilisation de modèles open source (LLM auto-hébergés, inférence sur cluster de calcul).
