ph3The Experience /h3 pLead Forward Deployed Engineer is part of Salesforce's delivery organisation, responsible for designing, building, and deploying agentic AI solutions directly inside enterprise customer environments. In this role, you will lead a delivery pod - partnering closely with a Deployment Strategist to co‑build solutions that go live in production environments from day one, spanning configuration, customisation, and full‑stack deployment across some of the largest enterprises in the world. /p pWe are looking for a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer who brings a builder mindset, deep production‑grade engineering experience, and the ability to lead complex technical deliveries - someone who ships quality code, mentors fellow engineers, and leaves customer teams more capable after every engagement. /p h3What You'll Actually Be Doing /h3 ul liLead the design and build of AI agents and experiences that take real actions for real organisations - owning complex technical components end‑to‑end from architecture choice through to deployed, validated, and observable in production, including agent intelligence design, prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integration with customer systems. /li liBuild and integrate data pipelines on Salesforce Data Cloud, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms, and oversee agent performance dashboards and customer key performance indicator reporting to track deployment health and business outcomes. /li liLead Proofs of Concept (PoC) and Minimum Viable Products (MVP) that move from concept to deployable in days - co‑building alongside customers and partners, sharing best practices, and enabling customer and partner teams as you go. /li liServe as a senior technical voice in your pod - surfacing platform gaps, edge cases, and field insights to product teams, mentoring junior engineers, and partnering with the Deployment Strategist to translate complex customer business challenges into agentic solutions that actually ship. /li /ul h3You're Our Person If... /h3 ul liYou have 7 or more years of software engineering or technical delivery experience, with multiple production systems you can walk us through - ideally in an AI technology stack, full‑stack development, or working with frontier large language models (LLMs) at scale. /li liYou have extensive customer‑facing technical delivery experience in consulting, professional services, or forward deployed engineering, and are fluent in two or more of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex. /li liYou have deep hands‑on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering, expert‑level understanding of data modelling, application programming interfaces (APIs), and integration patterns, and the ability to lead technical conversations with customer architects and executive stakeholders. /li liYou are excited to travel approximately 25% of the time, working directly alongside customers, and you thrive leading teams in fast‑moving, build‑oriented environments. /li /ul h3Even Better If... /h3 ul liYou hold multiple Salesforce platform certifications such as Platform Developer I, Agentforce Specialist, or Architect‑level credentials, and have deep familiarity with agent frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex and orchestration patterns. /li liYou have expert‑level experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery, and a strong track record across specialist AI delivery areas including data engineering, platform architecture, or headless deployments. /li /ul h3Unleash Your Potential /h3 pWhen you join Salesforce, you'll be limitless in all areas of your life.
