PhD-Stelle: Multiskalige Modellierung und experimentelle Bewertung von volumetrisch vorgespanntem Beton
Smart and Sustainable Resilient Performance-based Cementitious Composites for Adaptive Strengthening and Repair System (SURPASS) ist ein EU-
Horizon
-Forschungs- und Innovationsprojekt (2027-2031), das adaptive Verstärkungs- und Reparaturstrategien für alternde Infrastrukturen in aggressiven Umgebungen entwickeln will. Das Projekt strebt die Entwicklung von Eingriffsverfahren an, die helfen können, Wartungskosten zu senken und die Kreislauffähigkeit über den Lebenszyklus einer Struktur zu erhöhen. Die SURPASS-Lösungen kombinieren ökoeffizienten UHPFRC mit CO2-negativen SCMs, bio-basierte Selbstheilung, hybride Faserarchitektur, Fe-SMA-basierte Selbstvorspannung und integrierte strukturelle Gesundheitsüberwachung zu einem kohärenten System für dünne, langlebige strukturelle Eingriffe. Es kann für Standardanwendungen durch konventionelles Gießen und für komplexe oder nicht-planare Geometrien durch 3D-Druck eingesetzt werden. Parallel dazu werden zirkuläre End-of-Life-Strategien Fasern zurückgewinnen, Feinanteile zu neuen kohlenstoffarmen Bestandteilen aufwerten und die strukturelle Wiederverwendung ermöglichen. Das Projekt umfasst 11 Partner weltweit, darunter Partner aus Europa, Kanada und JapanIhre Aufgaben
Die Aufgaben der PhD-Stelle an der ETHZ und Empa im Rahmen von SURPASS sind wie folgt:
- Volumetrische Vorspannung von gegossenen und 3D-druckbaren SURPASS-Überzügen mit Fe-SMA-Fasern.
- Meso-skalige Finite-Elemente-Modellierung der volumetrischen Vorspannmechanismen mit Fe-SMA-Fasern, einschließlich Aktivierung, Rückstellkraft, Vorspannübertragung und Reaktivierung.
- Strukturelle Simulation von SURPASS-Überzügen in verstärkten Bauteilen, einschließlich parametrischer Finite-Elemente-Analysen zur Entwicklung von Surrogatmodellen und Unterstützung digitaler Zwillinge.
- Großmaßstäbliche experimentelle Bewertung von volumetrisch vorgespannten SURPASS-Überzügen für nicht-planare Strukturen, einschließlich repräsentativer Anwendungen wie Tunnelschalen, Bogenintrados und gekrümmte Brückenuntersichten.
Ihr Profil
Der Kandidat sollte einen Masterabschluss in Bauingenieurwesen (oder verwandten Ingenieurwissenschaften) mit fundierten Kenntnissen in nichtlinearer Finite-Elemente-Modellierung, Strukturmechanik und Betonbau besitzen. Erfahrung oder Interesse am 3D-Betondruck ist ebenfalls wichtig. Zusätzliche Fähigkeiten, einschließlich Erfahrung in kleinen und grossen experimentellen Untersuchungen sowie Kenntnisse über Formgedächtnislegierungen, wären von Vorteil. Ein starkes Interesse und Motivation, innovative und fortschrittliche Lösungen im Bereich des Bauingenieurwesens zu finden, sind unerlässlich. Ausgezeichnete Englischkenntnisse (mündlich und schriftlich) sind obligatorisch. Deutschkenntnisse wären von Vorteil.
Unser Angebot
Wir bieten eine vielseitige, herausfordernde und voll finanzierte PhD-Stelle für 48 Monate in einem modernen Forschungsumfeld mit ausgezeichneter Infrastruktur und regelmässiger Betreuung. Die Betreuerin der Dissertation wird Prof. Dr. Eleni Chatzi sein, die den Lehrstuhl für Strukturmechanik und Monitoring an der ETH Zürich leitet. Der Kandidat wird bei der Empa Dübendorf tätig sein, wo die tägliche Forschung von Prof. Dr. Moslem Shahverdi und Dr. Saim Raza betreut wird. Die Stelle ist so bald wie möglich verfügbar, sollte jedoch spätestens bis zum 1. März 2027 besetzt werden.
