This organization, recognized for its disruptive solutions within the automotive supply chain, is seeking a seasoned R&D Engineer specialized in textile coloration and finishing processes. The successful candidate will spearhead the transition from laboratory-scale sampling to full-scale industrial production, ensuring that aesthetic and functional requirements meet the rigorous standards of the automotive industry.
Core Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary technical interface between commercial departments and production teams to translate complex client specifications into viable material solutions.
- Evaluate and implement advanced coloration technologies, ensuring optimal performance regarding UV stability, color consistency, and long-term durability within diverse composite manufacturing environments.
- Draft comprehensive technical documentation and quality benchmarks for prototypes and pilot-scale trials.
- Manage the end-to-end sampling lifecycle, coordinating with external partners to ensure strict adherence to project timelines and quality mandates.
- Execute hands-on development and testing within the internal laboratory environment to refine coloration techniques.
- Oversee the industrialization phase, providing on-site technical guidance to manufacturing partners to guarantee process repeatability and capability.
- Establish robust quality control protocols for serial production, focusing on the intersection of raw material properties and final aesthetic performance.
- Analyze the correlation between chemical treatments, composite integration, and color fastness to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead initiatives aimed at optimizing process efficiency, reducing ecological footprints, and enhancing the economic viability of coloration workflows.
Candidate Profile
- Academic background in Material Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or Textile Technology.
- Proven technical expertise regarding industrial finishing, coloration techniques, and fabric treatment protocols.
- Practical exposure to organic fibers, yarn structures, and advanced composite materials is highly valued.
- Professional proficiency in English is mandatory; command of additional European languages (such as German, French, or Italian) is considered a significant asset.
- Demonstrated capacity for independent execution combined with a collaborative spirit regarding knowledge transfer.
- Methodical and disciplined work style, capable of overseeing a diverse portfolio of client projects concurrently.
- A track record of designing, refining, and scaling operational workflows.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering high-quality support to both external partners and internal departments.
