nxt is the advisory boutique for the digital transformation of financial services and, since April 2026, an independent subsidiary within Zühlke Group. As the Group’s accelerator, we build high-end consulting practices that take clients from strategy through to implementation – hand in hand with Zühlke’s technology delivery teams. Today we are best known for our well-established Banking and Tech Advisory practice and serve over 25 institutes in Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

 

We are looking for a Business Consultant / Senior Business Consultant to join our Financial Services team. In this role, you will contribute to business engineering and transformation initiatives for leading banks and financial institutions across Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Depending on the engagement, you will either work independently on client assignments or support more experienced consulting colleagues on larger and more complex transformation projects. We are looking for candidates who have already gained valuable project experience within a bank or as a consultant serving banking clients.

 

How you’ll make impact

• Advise banks and other financial institutions on business strategy, operating model transformation, digital transformation initiatives, organizational development, process optimization, and business change.

• Work closely with clients to understand their business challenges and develop pragmatic, value-driven consulting solutions aligned with their strategic objectives.

• Apply your expertise across customer journeys, segmentation, advisory processes, sales excellence, product and service portfolios, and related business topics.

• Deliver transformation projects from concept through implementation, including business analysis, requirements engineering, process design, target operating models, and the implementation of digital solutions.

• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder meetings, and prepare executive-level presentations and decision materials.

• Conduct business analyses, assessments, benchmarking, and market research to support strategic decision-making.

• Support organizational change initiatives through stakeholder engagement, communication, training, and user enablement.

• Contribute to internal initiatives, business development, thought leadership, and the continuous improvement of our consulting methodologies and service offerings.
  
   

What’s important to us

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.

• At least 4 years of professional experience in management consulting or within the financial services industry, preferably in banking.

• Proven experience delivering business transformation, digitalization, or process improvement initiatives.

• Solid experience in business analysis, requirements engineering, stakeholder management, and workshop facilitation.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into practical solutions.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills in German (mandatory) and English.

• A proactive, self-driven personality who enjoys taking ownership and working in a collaborative, hybrid consulting environment.

• Willingness to travel regularly to client sites across Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
  
   

The following qualifications are considered an advantage:

• Experience with agile delivery frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, DevOps, or SRE.

• Experience using data analysis tools such as Python or R.

• Familiarity with modern project collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
