Visual Merchandising Director

Responsible for creating developing and executing the true to life, in store visual representation of our brand. This position will coordinate with the merchant, creative services, planning, operations and retail development to conceptualize, establish and deliver visual merchandising guidelines for both retail stores and wholesale accounts, designed to meet the sales and profitability goalsThe Visual MerchandisingDirector is responsible for articulating and executing creative vision,visualwindow concepts and installations for boutiques and showrooms ensuring a stimulating environment that enhances the customer store experience and promotes brand consistency.Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.The role is in charge of supervising the team in upholding VM standards, guidelines as well as developing local relevant strategies in all locations (retail, partner stores and wholesale partners) across the global market through overseeing all VM initiatives related to existing store needs, campaign launches, special events and new store openings.CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIESDesign and implement visual strategy for the European marketPlan all visual merchandising projects in the marketTrain and coach visual teamManage department budgetSupervise and support retail eventsMeet with operational team to implement sales strategiesConduct research on current and future trends in design and lifestyle, and associated target market featuresForthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doingAt least 10+ years of experience in the VM field for a fashion brandAt least 5-6 years of experience in leading a teamExcellent knowledge of visual merchandising strategies and processesExcellent knowledge of Guess products and DNAMust possess strong leadership skills and be well organized, self-motivated, focused on meeting deadlines and able to multitask within a fast-paced environmentMust have excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-upExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse group at all levelAbility to work in an international environment and to network with worldwide business unitsDemonstrated ability to support and interact effectively with other core business functionsAvailability to travelExcellent knowledge of Office package, especially ExcelProficiency knowledge of English language – both written and spoken.
