An international industrial manufacturing group with over 2,000 employees is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth across Germany and selected Northern European markets.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious commercial professional who enjoys developing new business, building strategic customer relationships, and creating long-term growth opportunities within industrial and technical markets.

Reporting directly to the Sales Director, you will join an established international team of sales, project management, engineering, and design professionals supporting customers across Europe.

The Opportunity

This role combines strategic business development with hands-on customer acquisition. Initially, you will be supported with a small portfolio of key accounts before focusing predominantly on identifying and winning new business opportunities.

The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding market share, developing relationships with OEMs and industrial customers, and bringing innovative technical solutions to market.

Comprehensive onboarding and product training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across Germany and Northern Europe.
• Build and execute territory growth plans within targeted industrial sectors.
• Generate and manage sales opportunities from prospecting through to contract negotiation and closure.
• Develop strong relationships with decision-makers, engineering teams, procurement stakeholders, and executive leadership.
• Collaborate closely with technical and project teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
• Represent the business at industry events, exhibitions, and customer meetings.
• Maintain an active pipeline and deliver sustainable revenue growth.

• Strong hunter mentality with a track record of winning new customers.
• Experience selling technical, engineered, or industrial solutions.
• Ability to engage with both commercial and technical stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and self-driven approach.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable working in an international and cross-functional environment.
• Fluent German (C1 minimum) and English language skills.
