This is a senior hands‑on engineering role focused on software development, Python, cloud, DevOps, and full‑stack platform understanding. The role requires the ability tounderstand the end‑to‑end platform setup, includinginfrastructure,cloud deployment, data flows, operational support, and model execution workflows. /p pThe candidate will work acrossmodelling constraints,data integration requirements,and application development, supporting complex risk modelling workflows and contributing to the future integration of the Risk Modeling Platform with strategic data platforms. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 pbKey duties and responsibilities /b /p ul liDesign, efficient, testable, reusable, and reliable code in Python, Docker on a web platform /li liImplementation and enhancement of the Front end and Back end of applications responsible for task orchestration /li liImplementation and design of the solution on the cloud (mainly Microsoft Azure) /li /ul pContribute to applications and platforms that support statistical modelling, analytical workflows, model execution frameworks, and large-scale quantitative computations, and help actuaries optimize models and algorithms /p ul liWorking on solutions which uses Linux, Docker, DataBricks, JupyterHub, Postgres, … /li /ul pClosely work together with IT Technical team to handle automation, incidents, and 3rd level support /p ul liIntegration of user-facing elements with server‑side logic /li liWork collaboratively in architecting/developing solutions /li /ul pWork across modelling constraints, data integration requirements, infrastructure, and software development to translate quantitative and business needs into robust technical solutions /p pContribute to the future integration of the Risk Modeling Platform with strategic data platforms, working closely with modelling, data integration, architecture, and IT delivery teams /p ul liWorking with the team of very skilled Quantitative Developers /li liStay abreast of emerging technologies/industry trends /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 pbRequired experience competencies /b /p ul li10+ years professional experience building complex, scalable web applications is essential /li /ul pProven hands‑on experience designing, building, and operating solutions on cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure, is essential /p pQuantitative or analytical background, with the ability to understand statistical, actuarial, or risk modelling concepts and collaborate effectively with quantitative modelling teams /p ul liProficient understanding of Git and DevOps standards is essential /li liThorough knowledge of Python and Docker is essential /liliProficient in overall web development and web architecture /li /ul pExperience working in environments involving statistical models, quantitative analytics, risk modelling platforms, or model execution frameworks is highly valued /p ul liFirm grasp of OOP, FP SOLID design principles /li liExperience working with SCRUM or other Agile methodologies /li liSeveral years in Financial Services industry, preferably Insurance/Reinsurance /li liVery good knowledge of English /li liGood communication skills with IT and Business /li liTeam spirit /li liGood analytical skills /li liInterested in learning new technologies /li /ul pKnowledge in building big data applications (e.g. Spark, Databricks) and experience using Databricks to support large‑scale model execution and optimization is a strong advantage /p pPrevious experience with .NET/C# is of advantage /p h3About Us /h3 pAs a leading global reinsurer, SCOR offers its clients a diversified and innovative range of reinsurance and insurance solutions and services to control and manage risk.
