Sales Manager - Waste-to-Energy (WtE)

Job Description

This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to shape our Waste-to-Energy business in Eastern and South-Eastern Europe. You will have the freedom to develop markets, build strategic partnerships and lead major opportunities from the first conversation through to contract signature.

• Own and drive Waste-to-Energy business development across Eastern and South-Eastern Europe; from the first lead to contract signature
• Turn market potential into concrete project opportunities
• Shape and execute winning market and account strategies
• Build trusted relationships with clients, partners, authorities and key decision-makers
• Lead cross-functional teams through complex tenders and contract negotiations
• Develop competitive, commercially sound and technically convincing proposals
• Navigate risks, competition and stakeholder dynamics with confidence
• Lead negotiations and bring opportunities successfully across the finish line
• Provide sharp market intelligence and clear recommendations to management

Qualifications

• A strong track record in sales, business development and/or project execution in international plant construction
• Solid commercial and contractual expertise, ideally in the energy or power sector
• The drive to open doors, build momentum and turn opportunities into contracts
• A strong customer mindset and the confidence to engage with senior decision-makers
• Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills
• The ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams without necessarily having direct authority
• Strategic thinking, commercial judgement and a hands-on approach to execution
• Confidence working across cultures, organisations and international markets
• Fluent English; Eastern European language skills are a strong advantage
• Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time
