We seek strategic, results-driven leaders who thrive in dynamic environments and are motivated to build something exceptional within a collaborative, inclusive, and empowering culture. /p h3Role Overview /h3 pThe Procurement Director - Global 3rd Party Actives has global accountability for defining and executing sourcing strategies for third-party active ingredients (approx. annual spend $250M) that enable FMC’s portfolio of mixtures, private label offerings, buy/sell products, and technical partnerships. /p pThe role partners closely with Business Development, Regional Commercial teams, Global Marketing, and Technical organizations to ensure freedom to operate, competitive cost positions, and supply resilience across the product lifecycle. /p pThis position reports to the Chief Procurement Officer and leads a global team. The leader must drive cross-functional decision-making at pace, balancing short-term commercial resets with long-term category strategy. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 h3A. Strategic Transformation Leadership /h3 pLead end-to-end reset of key 3rd party active partnerships, including: /p ul liSourcing model redesign /li liEvaluation of make vs. buy vs. partner strategies /li liAlignment of agreements to market competitiveness benchmarks /li /ul h3B. Category and Sourcing Strategy /h3 ul liDevelop and execute category strategies for third-party actives aligned to FMC portfolio priorities and market positioning. /li liDefine sourcing strategies for new product introductions, Existing portfolio cost improvement, Strategic partnerships and alliances /li liPartner with Commercial teams to optimize regional product offerings, Buy/sell models, Portfolio rationalization /li /ul h3C. Cost competitiveness Financial Impact /h3 ul liLead should-cost modeling and total cost of ownership analysis to identify and deliver competitive positions vs. external benchmarks /li liDrive multi-year cost reduction roadmaps /li liEnsure all agreements are structured to maintain cost flexibility and downside protection /li /ul h3D. Supplier Partnership Management /h3 ul liDevelop next-generation supplier partnerships balancing collaboration and competitive tension /li liManage supplier performance across cost, Quality, Reliability, Innovation /li liNavigate complex relationships where suppliers are also competitors or vertically integrated players /li /ul h3E. Risk Supply Resilience /h3 ul liMitigate risks from single-source dependencies in strategic mixtures /li liBuild dual sourcing and contingency strategies to ensure continuity /li liAnticipate and manage regulatory and freedom-to-operate risks /li /ul h3F. Asset Network Optimization /h3 pPartner with Technical and Manufacturing teams to ensure alignment between: Cost structures, Capacity plans, Portfolio needs /p h3G. Market Intelligence External Benchmarking /h3 pBuild deep market intelligence on: /p ul liGlobal supply base (including China and India) /li liCost benchmarks and process advantages /li liCompetitor positioning /li /ul pTranslate insights into actionable negotiation and sourcing strategies /p h3Required Education Experience /h3 ul liBachelor’s Degree is required; an Advanced Degree is preferred. /li liA minimum of 10 years of business experience in a regulated environment within procurement, business development, marketing, and/or regulatory roles is required. /li liExperience in the Crop Protection or Agricultural Products industry is highly preferred. /li liA proven track record in negotiating large, complex supply agreements and demonstrated ability to define and execute effective procurement strategies is required. /li /ul h3Must Have Qualifications Requirements /h3 ul liProven skillset in working with business development commercial functions /li liDemonstrated experience in working with other crop protection companies /li liKnowledge of potential data requirements and license/royalty aspects of 3rd party actives and how to incorporate into contract for supply /li liUnderstanding of general accounting and legal concepts as it relates to procurement: contingent liability, enforceability of contracts (legal consideration), and price competitiveness (e.g. Most Favored Nations). /li liCapability to organize teams and initiate projects using project management skills /li liStrategic sourcing proficiency, Ability to lead and drive category strategies following a clear methodology and thought process /li liStrong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, a proven influence. /li liAbility to influence and convince others without authority /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications Requirements /h3 ul liKnowledge and/or experience in other Procurement categories /li liExposure to organizational transformation efforts /li liInternational experience and multi-cultural work environment /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
