Build the next generation of autonomous construction robotics At MESH, we're developing autonomous robotic systems that automate the planning, handling, and assembly of reinforcement for the construction industry. Our multidisciplinary team spans robotics, AI, software, mechanical engineering, and digital fabrication, turning cutting-edge research into industrial products deployed on construction projects worldwide. Tasks Role description As industrial robots become increasingly autonomous, perception, data, and AI are transforming how they understand and interact with the physical world. As a Robotics & Physical AI Intern, you will contribute to the development of intelligent robotic systems capable of perceiving, planning, and acting in complex industrial environments. You will work on one or more of the following projects:
- 3D perception using industrial depth cameras
- Multi-sensor calibration and robot perception
- Point cloud processing, geometry processing, and 3D scene understanding
- Foundation models and Vision-Language-Action (VLA) systems
- Robotic grasping and manipulation
- Motion planning and trajectory optimization
- Reinforcement learning and imitation learning
- Robot simulation using Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, or Gazebo
- Data collection, annotation, and evaluation
- Deployment and integration of AI models with industrial robotic systems
- Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a strong interest in robotics, perception, or machine learning.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++
- Familiarity with Linux and Git
- Good English communication skills
- ROS / ROS 2
- PyTorch
- OpenCV, Open3D, PCL, or similar 3D vision libraries
- Robot kinematics and dynamics
- Motion planning (MoveIt, OMPL, or similar)
- Robot simulation (Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, Gazebo, or similar)
- CUDA / GPU programming
- Experience with industrial robots (e.g. ABB)
- German, Italian, or French
- Develop AI-powered robotic systems deployed in real industrial production environments.
- Work on cutting-edge perception, planning, and robot learning technologies for autonomous manipulation.
- Gain hands-on experience with industrial robots, 3D sensing, and modern AI frameworks.
- Collaborate with an experienced, international, multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Shape your internship around your interests while contributing to technology that is making construction safer, more efficient, and more sustainable.
