As a recruiting partner of Havas Media AG, we are looking for you as a Senior Accountant (a), working 100%, for the location in Zürich, Switzerland.

In your position, you will be instrumental in managing financial closing processes and optimizing AP/AR operations for Havas Media AG, a leader in the media and publishing industry.

• Transactional Accounting (AP/AR) & Payment Processing: Handles end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations—including invoice processing/verification, preparing and executing payment runs, managing Travel & Expense (T&E) bookings, and ensuring timely payment clearances.
• Cash Management & Revenue Collection: Oversees the AR dunning process, cash application, and AR aging; performs regular bank, credit card, and account reconciliations; and actively drives strategic actions to improve Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
• Financial Closing & Record Keeping: Supports monthly and annual financial close processes while maintaining highly accurate financial records, documentation, and compliance with internal processes and accounting standards.
• Stakeholder Collaboration & Process Optimization: Works closely with the Finance Director; coordinates with external partners (Treuhand, banks, auditors, and tax advisors); and actively participates in finance-related special projects, automation, and continuous process improvements.

• Several years of hands on professional experience in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping.
• Strong knowledge of AP/AR processes + experience with reconciliations.
• Proficiency in financial closing activities.
• Demonstrated accuracy and reliability with exceptional attention to detail.
• A structured working style and the ability to work independently and responsibly.
• High degree of flexibility and adaptability.
• A proactive attitude and solution-oriented mindset.

• German: C1 – Advanced
• English: C1 – Advanced

• Educational background in Accounting and Finance (z.B. Sachbearbeiter, Fachausweis, Diplom etc.)
• Fluency in any extra language, especially French or Spanish
