AI/ML/Data Science Intern

Johnson & Johnson seeks an AI/ML intern to develop computer vision models for medical imaging analysis across endoscopy, ultrasound, X-rays, and other modalities. The six-month role involves collaborating with clinical teams, building foundation models, and communicating technical insights to drive healthcare innovation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews with internal clinical personnel to understand AI tool needs and use cases
• Participate in cross-functional discussions and compile insights into briefing reports
• Design, develop, and evaluate computer vision models on medical imaging and video datasets
• Extract business value insights from AI pipelines across therapeutic areas
• Communicate complex technical methods and results to diverse stakeholders

Requirements

• Pursuing Master's or PhD in quantitative field such as computer science or engineering
• Demonstrated research experience applying computer vision techniques including Transformers and CNNs
• Proficiency in Python or C++ and traditional computer vision tools like OpenCV
• Experience with machine learning algorithms and state-of-the-art image/video understanding methods
• Strong publication record and ability to communicate technical work to diverse audiences
• Medical imaging or multimodal AI experience preferred
