Senior Python developer with Flowable

You will join a globally distributed team in the Wealth Management area of a leading global bank, working in the AI Factory stream. The stream turns AI use cases into production-grade solutions that automate and improve business processes across the organisation. The team combines workflow orchestration on the Flowable platform with Python-based AI and data services. This lets processes such as client servicing, document handling, approvals and operational workflows be partly or fully automated, with human-in-the-loop control where needed. Everything runs in a highly regulated environment, so reliability, auditability, security and compliance are key. We are looking for a senior Python & Flowable Engineer who wants to bring AI capabilities into real business processes and help shape the technical direction of the stream.

Responsibilities

Design and build process automation solutions that combine Flowable workflows with Python-based AI and data services

Model processes, cases and decisions using BPMN 2.0, CMMN and DMN, including human-in-the-loop review steps

Develop Python services and APIs (e.g. FastAPI/Flask) that Flowable processes call, including integration with AI/ML and LLM services

Integrate workflows with internal and external systems through REST APIs and messaging

Turn business use cases into technical designs together with business analysts, data scientists and stakeholders

Make sure AI-enabled processes are traceable, auditable and compliant with the bank's security and risk requirements

Write unit and integration tests, take part in code reviews and promote engineering best practices

Support deployment and operation of solutions across environments (DEV/UAT/PROD) using CI/CD

Troubleshoot production issues and drive root-cause resolution

Act as a technical expert in the team, guide less experienced engineers and contribute to solution architecture decisions
