Talent pipeline: Junior Business Development Manager

We are looking for highly motivated full-time (100%) Junior Business Development Managers

The Junior Business Development Manager role is a vital part of our dynamic sales team. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, you will support with driving business growth and expansion in German-speaking markets, leveraging your business acumen to identify opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and drive revenue.

This is an evergreen posting to build our talent pipeline for upcoming expansion. We are looking for exceptional talent and will define the specific market focus and timeline based on the unique strengths of the ideal candidate.

You will:

• Work in a dynamic start-up environment with immediate international ambitions and rapid growth
• Focus entirely on active new customer acquisition (hunting) and market development in German-speaking Switzerland
• Learn the sales process from the ground up - with a strong emphasis on lead identification, cold outreach, and qualifying potential customers
• Lead your first pitches, prepare offers, and drive deals forward (often in close collaboration with experienced team members)
• Work closely with our marketing team to implement new lead-generation activities and participate in trade events
• Execute sales programs to achieve our quarterly pipeline and revenue targets
• Immerse yourself in our technology to convincingly explain the benefits of SCION, carrier networks, and modern app-based networking solutions

What you bring:

• Initial proven experience in sales, business development, or inside sales (approx. 1-3 years) - we also give ambitious career changers with strong sales talent and the right drive a chance
• A true "hunter" mentality: You are hungry for success, proactively approach people, possess high resilience/frustration tolerance, and love the challenge of new customer acquisition
• Fluency in German is an absolute must; strong proficiency in English is required for our internal communication
• Strong passion for technology: You don't need to be a deep network expert, but you bring the curiosity and quick comprehension needed to learn complex topics (next-generation internet, cloud, and app-based networking solutions)
• Excellent communication skills, enthusiasm, and a confident manner on the phone as well as in direct customer contact
• Proficiency in modern sales and collaboration tools (e.g., CRM/HubSpot, Google Workspace, Microsoft tools)
