As a first-tier supplier to our renowned business partner F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. in Basel, we are currently looking for a motivated and dedicated Senior Software Engineer (Python/Go) for a temporary assignment of 12 months.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Coding! ... including contributions to open source software that we use or maintain!
- Writing and implementing design documents (RFCs)
- Documenting your creations, as well as ensuring great automated test coverage
- Serving as a role model - and helping the team to follow software engineering best-practices
Must Haves
- Highly motivated Software Engineer with ownership mindset
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, ideally in large-scale or high-growth environments
- Strong background in scalable systems and modern engineering practices
- Recent hands-on experience with Python and/or Go
- Business domain: compute infrastructure & platforms
- Experience with Kubernetes (usage, concepts, and operations)
- Familiarity with public cloud environments such as AWS
- Experience in test automation, ideally with pytest
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and eager to take responsibility
- English fluent is a MUST
Nice to haves
- Interest in or experience with tools such as HashiCorp Vault, FluxCD, Kustomize, Terraform, Grafana, GitLab, Slack, and Linear
