Job Description

As a Breakfast Buffet Supervisor, you are responsible for the preparation, presentation and smooth running of the breakfast buffet. This is a more qualified service position, combining operational responsibilities during breakfast with support for the restaurant service in the evening.

Your responsibilities include:

• Preparing and setting up the breakfast buffet before service.
• Ensuring that the buffet is always well presented, clean, organised and fully stocked throughout breakfast service.
• Regularly monitoring the buffet and promptly replenishing food, beverages and other items when necessary.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and hygiene throughout the breakfast service.
• Preparing and resetting the buffet after service for the following day.
• Monitoring and managing breakfast buffet stock and ensuring that products are available when needed.
• Communicating stock requirements and shortages to the responsible person.
• Joining the evening restaurant service and supporting the Chef de Rang and Commis de Rang with clearing, resetting tables and other operational tasks.

Work Organisation

The position is full-time (100%) and on-site in Wengen.

The work is organised on a split-shift basis, with:

• Morning: responsibility for the breakfast buffet, including preparation, replenishment, cleanliness, presentation, stock management and resetting.
• Evening: support for the restaurant service, assisting the Chef de Rang and the front-of-house team with the operational tasks required during service.

Profile

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience in restaurant or breakfast service, ideally in a hotel environment.
• Is organised, reliable and able to work independently.
• Has a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
• Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Works quickly and efficiently while maintaining a professional attitude.
• Is able to remain calm and focused during busy and stressful service periods.
• Is proactive and able to anticipate what is needed to keep the buffet and service running smoothly.
• Has a strong team spirit and is willing to support colleagues during both breakfast and evening service.
• Is flexible and comfortable working split shifts.

Languages

• German: mandatory
• English: mandatory
• French and other languages: an advantage

Conditions

• Employment contract in accordance with the Swiss Collective Labour Agreement for the Hospitality Industry (L-GAV).
• 13th salary paid monthly after successful completion of the probationary period.
