You'll integrate new capabilities into Assist and customize and enhance the workspace experience that sits at the center of it. /ppYou will develop core services and infrastructure supporting large-scale data processing, real-time interactions, and integrations across multiple systems. This is a highly collaborative role requiring clear communication, strong technical judgment, and the ability to work effectively across teams. /ppYou will own significant backend components end to end, set technical direction, and navigate cross-team decisions and disagreements with minimal oversight. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliDesign, build, and scale distributed backend systems that serve millions of users. /liliDrive end-to-end delivery of features: from design, implementation, deployment, and monitoring. /liliArchitect real-time, low-latency APIs and backend services for AI-driven conversational systems within Assist. /liliDevelop cloud-native services in Java, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability. /liliWork on infrastructure components, including AWS-based deployments, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes/ECS). /liliBuild robust APIs and backend services that power AI-driven products and real-time interactions. /liliEnsure resiliency, fault tolerance, and compliance in high-throughput environments. /liliCollaborate with product managers, infrastructure engineers, and other teams to deliver production-ready systems. /liliLead technical execution: Break down complex project requirements into actionable tasks, distribute work effectively among team members, and unblock the team to maintain velocity. /liliMentor and grow talent: Actively guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a collaborative culture of continuous learning, technical excellence, and best practices across distributed team setups. /liliManage stakeholders: Serve as the primary technical liaison for product managers and cross-functional partners, translating product vision into technical strategy and proactively communicating progress, risks, and architectural trade-offs. /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulli8+ years of professional backend engineering experience. /liliProficient in modern Java (17+). /liliProven experience designing and scaling backend systems for millions of users or high-throughput real-time services. /liliSolid understanding of cloud-native architectures (AWS or similar), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes/ECS). /liliExperience with distributed data systems (e.g., Redis, Apache Kafka). /liliExposure to LLM integration (prompting, evaluation, observability). /liliStrong background in high availability systems, failover, and resiliency design. /liliCurious mindset with an eagerness to learn and adapt. /liliExcellent knowledge of observability practices: logging, monitoring, tracing, metrics. /liliStrong communication skills in English, able to explain complex technical topics clearly. /li /ulh3Nice to have /h3ulliJava frameworks knowledge (Micronaut, Spring). /liliPython experience. /liliPerformance tuning and scaling experience in high-throughput environments. /liliFamiliarity with GitOps, CI/CD, IaC. /li /ulh3Additional Information /h3pWe are the pioneers and trailblazers of a global IT Market Category (DEX) that is shaping the future of how the world works, giving our customers’ IT Teams total digital visibility across their enterprise.
