Open-ended. /p h3Role Summary /h3 pThe Head of Programme Finance leads the Finance Partner and Finance Specialist teams, including the technical line management of ICP finance staff, and is responsible for leading direct financial support and oversight to country programmes. The role ensures effective financial planning, oversight, resource management, fundraising support, and ICP financial reporting, thereby strengthening programme delivery. /p h3Project Overview /h3 pThe Medair GSO Finance Department, is primarily focused on Medair financial and investment decisions, acts as a financial gatekeeper and strategic advisor in daily business operation and also mid to long-term strategic decisions of Medair, with streamlined and optimized key processes, via leveraging a fit-for-purpose finance system. /p h3Workplace Conditions /h3 pGlobal Support Office (GSO) position based in Lausanne, Switzerland, Swiss or eligible EU citizens, or those with a valid work permit for Switzerland. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liOversees the financial forecasting, monitoring, reporting and oversight of country programmes including related assets and obligations at GSO headquarters /li liLeads the financial support provided to develop fundraising strategies including the writing of proposals /li liManages the Finance Partner and Finance Specialist teams and ensures robust technical line management of Finance staff in International Country Programs /li liLeads and strengthens collaboration with the corporate finance team as well international programmes at GSO headquarters /li liDrives the ongoing development of financial management systems and processes including leading the finance working group /li liBuilds the capacity of Finance Partners, Finance Specialists, and country finance staff through technical guidance, coaching, and the development of consistent financial management practices. /li /ul h3Qualifications, Experience Technical Competencies /h3 ul liUniversity degree /li li10+ years’ experience working in finance and programme delivery for an NGO and/or large complex organisation /li liWorking level of English and French /li liProven skills in team management, stakeholder management, financial planning and monitoring, complex financial analysis and reporting, and improving financial management systems and processes /li liHigh computer literacy, Microsoft Office (Excel) /li /ul h3Behavioural Skills /h3 ul liResourceful, resilient, and solution-focused team player with strong interpersonal skills. /li liMaintains strict confidentiality and high accuracy in data handling. /li liEnjoys challenges, works hard to achieve objectives, and can prioritize to meet deadlines. /li liWilling to work in a multi-cultural team and manage personal stress levels. /li liCreative, open-minded, flexible, and able to work independently within a consultative framework. /li /ul h3Team Spiritual Life /h3 pReflect the values of Medair with team members, local staff, people we serve, and external contacts.
