ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our international team and support mission-critical database infrastructures for leading clients operating in highly regulated enterprise environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, monitoring, and optimization of Oracle Database platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and operational stability. The role involves close collaboration with infrastructure, application, security, and business teams within complex environments such as banking, financial services, and telecommunications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Database Administration & Operations

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain Oracle Database environments.
• Manage database upgrades, patching activities, and lifecycle management.
• Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to ensure optimal system efficiency.
• Perform backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.
• Ensure database security, access control, and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database incidents, performance issues, and production problems.

Infrastructure & Reliability

• Support high-availability architectures and mission-critical production systems.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams on capacity planning and system scalability initiatives.
• Maintain database documentation, operational procedures, and technical standards.
• Participate in incident management and root cause analysis activities.

Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to automation and process optimization initiatives.
• Support the implementation of best practices for database management and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with international teams and stakeholders to improve service quality and operational efficiency.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• At least 5 years of experience as Oracle Database Administrator in complex enterprise environments.
• Proven experience working within banking, financial services, telecommunications, or similarly structured organizations.
• In-depth knowledge of Oracle Database installation, configuration, administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, and database security.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently within demanding production environments.
• Excellent command of Italian and English, both written and spoken.
• Oracle certifications will be considered a strong advantage.
