Role:

We are looking for a proactive and persistent Business Development Representative to build our pipeline in France, Belgium and Swiss-Romande. You will work closely with our Sales Lead for these markets, who opened them and takes deals from demo to signature. If you enjoy talking to people you don't know yet, want to open doors at some of the most critical sites in Europe and want to see robotics and AI deployed at scale, you should apply. The role is remote or based in our Zurich office, and it starts as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

Build and prioritize target account lists across critical infrastructure in France, Belgium and Romandie: manufacturing, data centers, energy, logistics and pharma.
Reach security, facility and operations leaders through calls, email, LinkedIn and events.
Run intro calls, qualify opportunities and hand them over for demos.
Prepare first commercial proposals.
Join demos and, over time, run your own.
Represent Ascento at security trade shows and industry events in your markets.
Keep your pipeline up to date in the CRM, and share what you hear in the field with our product and commercial teams.

Requirements:

Native French and fluent English. German or any other language is a plus.
First experience in sales, business development, consulting or a startup.
Comfortable picking up the phone. A “no” doesn't slow you down.
Structured and self organized: you manage your own pipeline and follow up without reminders.
Empathy and strong communication skills, with the ability to understand what a client really needs.
Passionate about robotics and technology. A technical background is a plus.
Willing to travel regularly across France, Belgium and Swiss-Romande for events and customer meetings, and occasionally to Zurich.

Join us in bringing physical security into the digital era with robotics and AI. If you are motivated, curious about tech and eager to grow fast in a robotics startup, we would love to hear from you. If you are not sure you meet all the requirements, give it a try. We are looking for attitude over experience.

When you apply, add three sentences on how you would get a meeting with the head of security at a French data center.

About Us:
Ascento is a robotics company that spun out of ETH Zurich, on a mission to bring the physical security industry into the digital era. We build the full stack ourselves: the robot, the software and the 24/7 operations center that runs our fleet. Our autonomous security robots patrol critical infrastructure such as manufacturing plants, data centers, energy sites, logistics hubs, airports and pharma facilities. They run in Switzerland, France, Belgium, Denmark, Austria and the US, and we have offices in Zurich and New York. Customers get them as Robotics as a Service, and both security companies and Fortune 500 companies trust them.

Ascento is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.

We encourage you to apply before 30. October.
