To support our team in Buchs we are looking for a

Purchase officer (80 - 100 %)

You will join a team that is Worlwide responsible for trading, as well as the entire logistics organisation involved, while ensuring accurate and correct administrative follow-up.

In each area of your responsibility, you will demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail and commercial flair in order to maintain customer and supplier satisfaction, as well as the best financial result.

You report to the Group Purchasing Officer.

Key Tasks and responsibilities:

Your responsibility lies in 3 main areas:

Worldwide trade

Establish professional relationships with vendors, suppliers and clients
Ensure quality of products is in line with requirements
Follow-up and reporting on ongoing actions
Supporting administrative tasks

Logistics

Worldwide planning of shipment/transport of the purchased or sold goods mainly via sea freight, container and Breakbulk shipment
Correct administration with regard to both the legally required documents and the internal tracking and follow-up of shipments

Claim management

Processing claims ensuring accurate administrative registration and follow-up
Investigate and advice on legitimacy, approach, solution for claims received
Where possible propose improvements
Supporting administrative tasks

Skills:

Administrative strong with a high level of accuracy
Commercially oriented, and a talent in negotiations and networking
Good organizational and time management skills
Very good command of English (both spoken and written), any other language is an asset
Proficient knowledge MS-Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experienced in ERP packages
